Santa and Steve visit CACC
Santa hosted WGN radio personality, animal behaviorist and author, Steve Dale, at Chicago Animal Care And Control on Saturday December 14, the first day of our Howliday Boutique.
Holding one pup for a good photo is hard. Holding THREE at one time and getting everybody in focus and looking happy is a miracle! Visitors were welcome to bring their pets for a photo with Santa for a donation of just $10.
A few pups from the adoption pavillion at CACC were brought in to the Boutique to model some of the designer outfits available at deeply discounted prices. Volunteer Trish just couldn’t put little Scoobie down.
Tables were piled high with all kinds of pet-related goodies–from Thunder Shirts to Bunny Booties–at bargain basement prices. All proceeds go to benefit the animals of CACC.
These lovely old boys were ages 17 and 14–and still believe in Santa.
Gracie, a CACC alum and Friends foster, is very wary of men, EVEN Santa, so Friends’ founder Charlie traded her camera for Santa’s jacket and hat. Gracie calmed down and Santa, wearing his civilian clothes, got the shot of the pup and her mum.
