Girl Scouts surround pup with loads of love at Wolves Game
Approximately 11,000 Girl Scouts turned out for the Chicago Wolves’ Adopt-A-Dog Night at the Allstate Arena on January 6. The 30 ft. “Animobile” van brought 13 pups to the game that night and 9 of them went home to their forever families. One experienced volunteer handles each dog brought to the game. Those of us on the other end of their leashes never see any hockey these nights, but every time an adoption is approved, our hearts are cheering like crazy. The Wolves have been responsible for over 1,000 dogs from Chicago Animal Care and Control finding their forever homes and have a good start on the second thousand. The dogs will be at the games again on February 16, March 30, and April 20. Check out www.chicagowolves.com for tickets and you just might leave a game with the dog of your dreams.
