Wolves Game Adopt-A-Dog Night

March 12, 6pm – 10pm

Mascot Skates and the Wolves have teamed up with the City of Chicago’s Department of Animal Care and Control to help find loving families for Chicago’s homeless dogs. Known as Skates’ Sidekicks, select dogs will be available for adoption on Adopt-A-Dog game nights.

To meet these dogs visit Skates’ Sidekicks in the South Lobby.  Be a hero and save a sidekick!

FCACC has joined Block 37’s first annual “12 Trees of Giving” competition for the most wonderfully decorated Christmas tree on display at 108 North State St., Chicago, IL.

You are invited to come marvel at our beautiful adornments and vote for your favorite tree by donating $10 to FCACC!

Simply text TREE FCACC to 27722.

(A $10 donation will be added to your phone bill.)

If you really love the decorations you can vote one additional time through social media by using the hashtag #GIVE37.

Join us for food, drink, karaoke and holiday cheer at our annual Christmas party extravaganza! Admission is free with a donation (any amount) at the door to Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control. Enjoy beer, wine and cocktails, a holiday smorgasbord from our kitchen, and a free ticket for a holiday specialty drink to boot! Mrs. Claus will be making her traditional visit with door prizes and a free raffle for some awesome presents.

This is open to the public so feel free to bring your dog in and let your friends and family know they can stop in with their dogs for pictures with Santa.

There will also be a boutique where you can find a mix of human and animal items that will make great stocking stuffers.

Star-studded Big Night is almost here!

October 8, 2015 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.

Animal expert and WGN radio star Steve Dale is Honorary Chairman of this celebrity chefs event this year! Joining Steve as emcee will be Pete McMurray of NBC-5’s “24/7” and 97.1 FM “The Drive.” And of course they will be surrounded by Chicago’s best chefs cooking up a storm for you—all to help Chicago’s neediest animals.

ANIMAL WELFARE GURU WANTED TO HELP US GROW

As a small but well-established (budget of $200,000+ annually) animal welfare organization, Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control is seeking to contract with a social media/marketing consultant in the Chicagoland area. We’re looking for someone with a proven track record in growing an animal welfare organization—and the drive and enthusiasm to do it again. We need help developing an overall marketing strategy, procuring significant grants, building our current donor base, engineering a strong volunteer program, and more. We are particularly interested in people with social media savvy including content development. Please send your resume along with a brief paragraph or two (no more than 300 total words, please) stating what you bring to the party and what you believe you might accomplish in a year’s time.
