Volunteer at the City Shelter
Do you want to make a hands-on difference in the life of a shelter animal? The city is always looking for new volunteers to walk dogs, socialize cats, and perform all of the other life-saving functions that happen at Chicago Animal Care and Control. For more information, please see the CACC website: Volunteering at Chicago Animal Care and Control
Foster an Animal
One of the
most important acts of volunteering you can do is foster an animal. Fostering an animal takes them out of the stressful shelter environment and into a loving home while they wait for adoption. We are always in need of foster homes. Visit our Foster page for more information.
Other Volunteer Opportunities
You don’t have to be at the shelter to make a life-saving difference. Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control relies on dedicated volunteers to power our nonprofit operations.
Ways you can help:
• Marketing & Social Media: Spread the word about our programs and adoptable pets.
• Fundraising: Help raise money for medical care and supplies for the animals in the shelter and in our foster program.
• Administrative Support: Help us stay organized with data entry and outreach.
Please email info@fcacc.org for more information.
