The weekend started with our critters hanging out looking all gooey-eyed and sweet for potential adopters at Animal Medical Center , 1618 W. Diversey on Saturday. These folks have done low-cost and even free surgeries on our fosters, given us generous supplies of flea preventatives, and now they've held an adoption event too!
PetSmart on Canal Street was also an exciting place to be on Saturday with a ton of ACC dogs joining our resident kitty population there! Our pups even got to spend a night in the cushy PetSmart Hotel.

Volunteer Cindy has this pup totally relaxed, showing off his brand new stitches! Neutered and darn proud of it!
On Sunday, yellow and white balloons lined Oak Street for PAWS Chicago's 15th annual "Angels with Tails" adoption event. FCACC was one of many organizations showing off their pets to potential adopters despite the rainy weather.
It started to pour but a PAWS volunteer and volunteer Anna & her foster pup, Mya, stood their ground for a quick photo.
Gregg, an unidentified PAWS volunteer, and Kathy were smart--they stayed inside with their kitties and hence, out of the rain.
Herbie was happy once he found a passerby with a nice big umbrella!
